Path Variable/Build Variable Issue with New Project CCS 6.1.3

Hey all,

I'm running into an issue with a new project I'm working on in CCS. I started off with a template project I imported. For some reason the path variables defaulted to the C:/Users director on my PC which is not what I'm looking for. I updated the path variables and build variables to be correct, but that hasn't fixed the issue. I looked under advanced features and the compiler says it can't find the files even though I've used the exact same path/build variables on another project.

Any ideas?

Hello Lance,

When you say "path variable" do you mean #include paths?

Did you import with copy into your workspace?

I copied the files into my workspace manually and then imported the project via CCS

It looks like CCS is ignoring the path variables, i.e. ${VAR}; I had a relative path to the original template location and for some reason the compiler completely ignores it. I just hardcoded in the build/path variables with absolute references and that fixed the problem. Still not sure why the variable method didn't work. It does for my other projects.

Did you check the value of the variable in the system variable list. You can see the System variables in the Project Properties->CCS Build->Variables tab with "Show system variables selected".
