GUI Composer (CCSv6.1.3): How to bind Number Text box to application variable. Also, ID not being assigned to Number Text box.

Hello,

How do I bind the Number TextBox to a variable in my program?

Also, Why isn't GUI composer creating an ID for the Number TextBox when I place it on a content pane.
