I have installed CCSv6.1.2 in ubuntu 12.04 but unable to install CCS App center Addons.

I am getting following error while trying to install Add-ons in CCS.

Failed to install the selected add-ons. You need to have write permission to the eclipse folder to install app from the AppCenter. On linux , when installing CCS as sudo, AppCenter needs sudo permission when running ccstudio executable.

As indicated in the message, it appears that you installed CCS as sudo. Is that the case? If so, you need to start up the executable as sudo to be able to install add-ons from App Center.

As I am new, tell me how to start up the executable as sudo to be able to install add-ons from App Center.

Instead of clicking on the desktop shortcut, open a terminal and start up the ccstudio executable as sudo.

I started ccs using sudo, still I am unable to install addons. So uninstalled CCS and again installed without using sudo, after that I installed required addons for my development.
