CCS 6.1.3 installation trouble

Hi,

I have multiple times tried to install CCS 6.3.1

CCS 6.2.1 works, but due to bugs related to Energia, I need to upgrade to 6.3.1.

In the control panel all related components been removed but to no avail.

The registry been cleaned with ccleaner.

Problems started after upgrading to win10, then downgrading to win7.

Maybe I need to refurbish the computer?

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Nop, it did not help.

The 2005 and 2012 (x86) redistributable was uninstalled.
As the microsoft redisp download page was not available tonight for some reason,
CCS 6.3.1 was uninstalled.
Workspaces and directories related to installation was deleted (\.TI and \ti). (\.TI-trace and AppData\Local\Texas Instruments did not exist).
Then CCS 6.3.1 was installed,
in Control panel/Remove Programs the 2005 and 2012 (x86) redistributable are listed again.
However no change in the behaviour of CCS 6.3.1

There was a message during installation of CCS concerning the LibraryLoader.dll

This library depends on the MSVC++ 2015 x86 Redistributable.

This redist would install, but there was no warning, only the trained eye would see that the Setup Process did not behave properly.

Only the small size of the redist in Remove program gave an indication that something wrong.

The 'Repair' button when clicking on the redist in Remove program did not do any useful work.

When uninstalling the redist, the redist seemed to be gone.

However some remains was left, as it was not possible to make a new proper install.

The Microsoft application "Fix it" removed these remains.

Then a proper installation could be done.
