[CCS license] Moving machine to another one

Hi,

My customer is asking about the licence management for CCS when moving the machine. They are using CCS and fully licensed with node lock type. The mac address for NIC attached to their machine has been registered for getting CCS license file. When moving another PC, can they still use CCS without restrictions on the condition that moving the NIC and license file from the previous machine to next one ?

Best Regards,
Naoki

In principle yes. The host ID is tied to the MAC address and nothing else. However, if somehow CCS does not acknowledge the NIC (perhaps due to multiple NICs existing in the machine, or some other factor unknown) then you can re-host the license.

    Hope this helps,
