When I connect my Hercules RM46 LaunchPad with XDS110 USB Debug probe with CCS after using it with UniFlash,
or the other way around,
these programs always ask me to update the debugger firmware.
Once I press the update tool, the firmware is renewed and the program works.
But it seems odd that after I upgrade it in the one program, the other complains - and the other way around.
Versions:
UniFlash: v3.4
CCS: Version: 6.1.2.00015
TI Emulators 6.0.228.0 com.ti.emulation.pack.win32.feature.group Texas Instruments
The screen shot from Uniflash shows that Uniflash is using "Emulation package 6.0.83.1", which is different the version 6.0.228.0 of the Emulation package used by CCS.Jan Cumps said:CCS: Version: 6.1.2.00015TI Emulators 6.0.228.0 com.ti.emulation.pack.win32.feature.group Texas Instruments
I believe that the XDS110 firmware is in the Emulation package, and so by switching between CCS and Uniflash with different versions of the Emulation package will trigger the XDS110 firmware to be changed.
In your Uniflash installation try using Help -> Check for Updates and see if there is an Emulation package update available. Updating Uniflash to the same version of the Emulation package should avoid the need for the XDS110 firmware to be changed when switching between CCS and Uniflash.
[Looking at my Uniflash 3.4.0 and CCS 6.1.3 installations both are using the same Emulation package 6.0.228.0]
