Updating TI-RTOS Fails

I'm trying to install updates for TI-RTOS for Tivaware and MSP430. Both installations fail. The error messages indicate that "Cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency." Essentially identical results for MSP430 and Tivaware. I was able to install other updates not associated with RTOS with no problems.

How can I correct this problem. I can send error logs if desired.

This is on a Windows 10 machine.

Which exact version of CCSv6 are you using? Can you attach a screenshot of the error message?

The version is 6.1.1.00022.

This is the error message when updating using the CCS App Center.

This is the error message I receive when trying to do an Update using the Help --> Check for Updates in CCS.

Any help would be appreciated.

Could you send the .log file that should in your workspaceDir/.metadata directory?

The error log shows a couple of things:

- the specific version of MSP430 Emulators update requires CCS 6.1.3
- the TI-RTOS update for TivaC and TI-RTOS for Simplelink have dependencies on different versions of XDCtools, but only one of them seems to be satisfied.

My suggestion would be to first install CCS 6.1.3 and then install the latest versions of TI-RTOS from CCS App Center. (FYI, in newer versions the TI-RTOS for Simplelink product has been split into two products - TI-RTOS for CC13xx/26xx and TI-RTOS for CC32xx).

Thank you very much for the information. Most helpful. One more quick question - is it save to install CCS 6.1.3 on top of CCS6.1.1? I don't need to remove CCS6.1.1 first (I hope)??

It is best to delete the CCS 6.1.1 installation first if you plan to install 6.1.3 to the same location. This can be done by simply deleting the entire folder where 6.1.1 was installed. You could also install 6.1.3 to a different folder (side by side installs of multiple versions is fine) if you wish to retain the 6.1.1 installation for some reason or for some period of time.
