CCS hangs during start trace analyzer using XDS Pro Trace

Hi,


I'm running Code Composer Studio 5.5.0 on windows and encountered an error while performing live profiling.
Spectrum Digital XDS560V2 STM LAN Emulator as connection, Tools -> Hardware Trace Analyzer -> Function Profiling. Transport type is set to ProTrace. Buffer size is 512 MB, number of pins is 17.
I'm almost doing the procedures in http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/XDS_Pro_Trace#PC_Interfaces, but on step #8.
8) Start trace analyzer (Tools->Trace Analyzer) and run application , IDE hangs.

It has been weeks and I can't really make it work. Please help me.

    Rhosty,

    The IDE shouldn't lock, but one detail I noticed that will influence the outcome of your session. I see you selected the "Spectrum Digital XDS560V2 STM LAN Emulator" as the connection, but you should instead select "Spectrum Digital XDSPRO LAN Emulator".

    Thank you for your reply. I tried your suggestion but I also encountered the same issue. Do you have other suggestions that I could try?

    Do you also know what are the uses of parameters "Buffer size" and "number of pins"?

    Hi,

    Your screenshot it still shows an unchanged configuration:

    To use the XDS Pro Trace you should have it configured to:

    This way you can use the Pro Trace Transport Type on the Trace Configuration.
