CCS V5.5 installation problem

Dear TI - CCS team,

I have installed CCS v6 on my laptop and it worked. but I have to change it to CCS v5.5 because I have the C6713 DSP kit that I want to use.

The problem is with installation of CCS v5.5. I tried all the solutions written and answered in the forum:

* I made offline installtion, and put the setup program in a short path directory that has no spaces in between.

* I removed the CCS v6 from the windows' control panel and all TI's sub-programs and also deleted the 'InstallJammer regustry' folder and then tried again.

* I tried installing the program in a different name that the program suggests 'ti_2' instead of 'ti'.

* I ran the program in 'windows 7 compatiblity mode', and 'run as an administrator'.

But those trials are not enough yet to install the program :)

I have attached screenshots of the two errors and a copy of the last created 'InstallJammer registry' folder.

Also tell me please if it will be better to install an older version of CCS.

Thanks in advance,

Muhammad Foad Abohegab

  • It looks like the keystone 2 component failed to install. Unfortunately, the error message isn't very helpful. I would recommend installing (after deleting the previous installation completely) by unchecking the keystone 2 component. If you need keystone 2, we can install it separately on the command line. I can help you with that.
