CCS 6.1.3 Problem Updating TI Emulators

Greetings:

Windows 10

CCS Version 6.1.3.00034

I'm trying to update a new install of Windows 6.1.3. I receive the following error message.

No repository found containing: binary,com.ti.emulation.pack.win32_root,6.0.228.0

How and where can I find this repository and and how do I fix this problem.

Greetings:

I tried deleting the two cache directories per the wiki instructions. However, I still received the same error message - No repository found. Any other ideas please.

Do you get a similar error for other updates as well (other than the TI Emulators update), (ie) if you deselect TI Emulators and select only one or more of the others?

Everything updated except for the following three files: TI Emulators (ver 6.0.228.0), MSP432 Device Support Files (ver 6.3.0.5) and MSP430 Emulators (ver 6.3.4.2). For example, I updated the RTOS files without any problems.

Hi,

I see you deleted the caches, did you try the rest of the steps?

Exit out of CCS
Delete the two directories below:
- <installdir>/ccsv6/eclipse/p2/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.core/cache
- <installdir>/ccsv6/eclipse/p2/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.repository/cache
Start CCS and go to menu Help --> Install New Software
From the drop down list of available software sites, select the software that you were trying to update earlier (for example, Code Generation Tools or TI C2000 Device Support as in the above two cases)
Uncheck the box Contact all available sites during install to find required software at the bottom of the pane
Proceed with installing the update

Yes. I did all the steps. The site I selected was TI Emulation Updates for Windows. Just tried it again and same error message - No repository found.

Could you please look for the log file <your workspace>/.metadata/.log and attach it here?

Okay. Here it is but are you sure you want the <your workspace>/.metadata/.log file? Doesn't seem to have much in it>

Hi Dan,
From the logs you sent me, it looks like your installation is ok.
Could you please do the following:

Shut down CCS.
Restart CCS
Go to Help -> Install New Software ..
Click on the Add button
In the location field, enter software-dl.ti.com/.../latest and click ok.
Uncheck the box "Contact all available sites during install to find required software" at the bottom of the pane
Proceed with the installation.

This solved the problems with the TI Emulators. I was able to update them successfully. However, I still have the same problem with MSP430 and MSP432 emulator packages - No repository found.

This problem has resurface with the latest updates. I am unable to install the following updates
MSP430Ware for Windows
Update Installer patch (win32)

Can you provide me the urls for these updates. Not sure why this keeps recurrings?

Hi Dan,

Could you try the following first:
Go to Window -> preferences -> Install/Updates ->Available software sites.
Select the Code Composer Updates site (should be software-dl.ti.com/.../Updates)
Click on the reload button next to it.
Check for updates again.

If this doesn't work for you, please try the following links as you did the last time around:
downloads.ti.com/.../613_34_update_installer
downloads.ti.com/.../latest

Please let me know if the first solution works for you.

Unfortunately, the first technique did not work. The second method worked fine and the system is updated.

No worries. I wish we could resolve the issue for you, but it looks like you're having problems with the redirection, which most people don't. At least we have a workaround and can get you what you need!
