28335 CSM active, wait in reset by Emulator

Hi allI thought that it should be possible to do a wait in reset by emulator. Some threads here say this should be possible, but I had no success, so I would like to ask if someone with the same setup as me had success.

Target: 28335 on ControlCard, on a DockingStn

  • CCS 6.1.1.00022, TI Emulators 6.0.228.0 (CCS 5 also tested)
  • Emulator: Spectrum Digital XDS200 USB
  • Win10 Pro, Win7 Pro also tested

CSM is programmed and activated. Board is power cycled after programming.

Now I would like to connect and unlock without setting the DSP to the "branch to check boot mode" with SW2 dip switchs on the ControlCard. I would like to have the emulator setting EMU1 high and EMU0 low to get the wait in reset. It seems that the emulator ignores my settings in the target configuration -> Advanced settings. Both pins are always high on connect, regardless what I select.

If I do a hardware pull down on EMU0 the wait in reset works.

Do I miss something?

Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

Best regards,

Roger
