CCS 6.1.2 update fails

Hi,

I've seen a lot of correspondence about the issue but none of the advice seem to help.

I'm using CCS 6.1.2.00015 on Windows 10 PC.

When trying to update I keep getting the following error message

I've tried to erase ccsv6\eclipse\p2\org.eclipse.equinox.p2.core\cahce & ccsv6\eclipse\p2\org.eclipse.equinox.p2.repository\cahce foldes

I've launched CCS with -clean flag

I've unselected 'check all sources' checkbox

but it keeps occurring.

One thing I've noticed along the way is that CCS update is searching for the update files at C:\users\<username>\Downloads\CCS6.1.2.00015_win32 folder while in my case these files are located at D:\[same folder]

I also tried to copy then from D:\[same folder] to C:\[same folder] with no success.

It keeps on happening.

Any advise will be appreciated here

Hi,

Looks like your update sites are in an abnormal state. Could you please go to:

Window -> preferences -> Install/Update -> Available sites.

Unselect any sites that start with file:/

Also unselect any eclipse sites.

Exit out of CCS.

Try your "search for updates" again.

Hi Danish,

Thanks for your prompt response.

I did like instructed, however I still can't conclude the update succesfully.

I've uninstalled some addons but still get error messages.

Thanks for providing pictures, that helps a lot! Can you please uncheck (disable) any sites that do not start with http://software-dl.ti.com before trying the update. Not sure how you got so many eclipse sites in your list.

Hi,

I did as you said and this time update worked fine. Thanks.

After update CCS relaunched and this time when looking for updates I got the following message:

I'm wondering if I have any other 'malware/mal-addons' that conflicts with the CCS environment...

How can we tell which eclipse addons are good to use with CCS ?

That update requires CCSv6.1.3. If you scroll down in the details, it should mention some 6.1.3 component missing.
