Cannot connect to target MSP5538 with CCS 4.1.2 and LPT Programmer on Windows XP SP3

Hello,

Code composer Studio does not link to the target. I´ve got olimex LPT programmer.

Yes, i´ve installed the LPT driver and i´ve configured it well in the ccxml. But after starting debuging the "run" button is disabled.

Is this a known bug? Would it be helpful for other users if Texas instruments fixes this bug? What is the official statment to foreign company products?

Your wiki is very littel helpful: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Category:Code_Composer_Studio_v4 it does not handle LPT link problem sufficiently and it has deprecated information and program paths.

Did you successfully connect to the target? The run button will be disabled until you connect. Your headline indicates you cannot connect. Is this correct?

It is impossible to connect, becauce Code Composer 4.1.2 is so buggy.

I connected sucessfully to my target board with IAR Software, but it does not work any more with Code Composer 4.1.2. Shall I send you such a device for tests?

Tobias,

In the tools group we do not test with Olimex programmers. We test with the products that have drivers bundled with CCS. For MSP430 that is the TI FETs only.
