Error -151 @ 0x0 with CCSV6.0.1

My C2000 experimenter’s kit is working fine with CCSv3.3. But it failed connection to the board with CCSV4 and CCSv6.

What I need to check?

ttt

The C2000 experiment kit with CCSv3.3 is working fine. But if the CCSV6.0.1 is used, it failed to connect the board.

what is the problem?

  • Hi,

Error 151 is explained at the page below:
    processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Debugging_JTAG_Connectivity_Problems

I suspect there are either a configuration problem in CCSv6 or conflict between device drivers.

The first is easier: check carefully if the configuration of the JTAG debugger on CCSv6 is set to XDS100v1.

The other one is a bit harder. I suspect that XDS100 device drivers are conflicting among the two CCS releases. In this case I would try to reboot the computer and connect using CCSv6 before any attempts to connect using CCSv3.3. If this works, somehow the device drivers loaded by previous runs of CCSv3.3 are preventing CCSv6 from running correctly. If this does not work, this indicates the Windows low-level device drivers you have in your computer are incompatible with CCSv6 - to be sure this is the case, I would then try to connect using a computer that only has CCSv6 installed.

    Hope this helps,
    Rafael
  •  Hi Rafael,

    Thanks for your replay.

Finally I found the VID/PID is wrong in my testing broad.  I reloaded the right one and it is working fine now.

    Thanks,
