Add TDA3X to CCS Version: 6.1.3.00034

Hi All,

I have above mentioned version of CCS, but it does not have any target support for TI TDA3X. I have a license file and NDA for TDA3X. Kindly guide me how can I add TDA3X target support to CCS.

I would also like to have a lauterbach script for loading the binary on the target and a sample application.

Regards,

Waleed

  • Waleed,

You can add TDA3x device support by going to menu Help --> Install New Software and select the following:

In general, for the device support to work in CCSv6.1.3 you either need to have selected all the device families or at least the Media Processors family of devices - the selection is shown at step 6 of the page below:

    http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/GSG:CCSv6_installation

If you haven't installed this, you can re-run the CCS installer and point to the same destination directory and add the device families.

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael

  • Thanks Rafael,

It solved the first issue that TDA3x wasn't available in the CCS, but it did not add any sample linker script, debug configurations, build flags for this target? If it is not available, kindly can you provide me with one ? And also kindly can you help me with the flags necessary to build and link for this target ?

And what RTS library I need to add if I want to use the cortex M4 cores of this target ?

Regarding the second issue if any lauterbach cmm script is available for this target as I am trying to use the lauterbach debugger with this target.

  • Hi,

For example code for this device and Lauterbach scripts I strongly suggest you contact the local TI representative that supports your company.
