CCS V6 with 4k Screen

Just migrating to a Dell Precision 5510 laptop as a development system. This has a 4k screen. OS is Windows 10 Version 1511 Build 10586. CCS V6 installs and runs fine - except the toolbar buttons are almost invisibly small. Looks like they just come out at the native 4k resolution rather than scaling with the scaling factor you can set in Display Settings in Windows.

I've looked through all the options - but have not spotted anything that may enable me to resize the toolbar buttons. Anybody else know a way to get the buttons scaled up to a more visible size?? Or does CCS need to be hacked to work better on 4k resolution screens??

This is a known Eclipse issue that will be addressed with CCS 7.0 when it picks up a newer version of Eclipse:

The thread CCS icons on HD monitor has a link to a Stack Overflow thread with a potential hack.

A CCS defect SDSCM00051840 has also been raised to try and address this in later CCS versions.

[I don't have a 4K resolution screen, so haven't attempted the hack myself]

I give a very strong +1 to this request.

I have the exact same problem and have unsuccessfully tried all the hacks and work-arounds I could find. I have verified that the latest Eclipse has fixed this and tried to install CCS as a plug-in but that didn't work either. I guess incompatible versions?
When is the planned release of v7?

Any chance you will go the plug-in route rather than a full customized IDE? Doing that would help with any problems in the future related to Eclipse that seems to be handled a little faster by the project rather than TI creating its own variant after that?

Yes, the current version of the CCS plug-in supports Eclipse 4.5.1

Also in CCSv5, we allowed the ability to officially install CCS plugins to an existing supported Eclipse installation. However, that support was dropped in v6 due to various support issues and more importantly due to lack of demand.

I just tried to install CCS V7 (ccs_setup_7.0.0.00042.exe) using both online and zip methods and cannot get beyond the first selection window. On my Dell with 4k graphics this window is too small to show any selection options or controls. It cannot be resized or scrolled so there no way to do anything. I have JRE V9 instlled to get around sizing issues with another application. I'm running Windows 10 with all the updates.
