Defect history for C28x cgtools v6.1.x, latest information

Hello

I want to know all defects in v6.1.x of C28x cgtools.

I have checked DefectHistroy.txt in v6.1.10, the latest version of v6.1.x.

But the date of the file is old, September 2014. Do we have updated defect history file for v6.1.x?

Regards,

Satoshi Obata

  • The version 6.1.10 compiler is the last one from the version 6.1.x series of releases.  For more background on how TI compiler releases are organized, please see this wiki article.  This release occurred in September 2014.  The file DefectHistory.txt describes all of the defects known at that time.  This is generally true of the DefectHistory.txt file which comes with every release.

    Thanks and regards,

    -George

  • George,

I want to know all defects in v6.1.2 that were found after v6.1.10 release.

Is there any way to do it?

  • In short, no.

After the release of version 6.1.10, the version 6.1.x release stream went inactive.  Among other things, this means we stop tracking which bugs pertain to that release.  You could look at the DefectHistory.txt files that come with later releases, such as 6.2.x or 6.4.x, and reasonably assume those bugs are also present in 6.1.x releases.  But we make no specific attempt to see whether a bug found in an active release stream is present in any inactive release stream.

    Thanks and regards,

    -George
