Problems connecting with GDB through XDS100v2 on board RM48 USB stick development kit

Hi,

I am using linux (Ubuntu) and I need to debug using gdb through XDS 100v2 JTAG emulator. The device is correctly detected:

VID/PID          Type                 Serial #                 Description
0403/a6d0 XDS100v1/v2 TIWTYXAK Texas Instruments Inc.XDS100 Ver 2.

when I run target remote  :55000 on gdb I get the following error:

FAILED! GTI_CONNECT(hpid=0x92146f0)=-1
(Error -6306) Failed to connect to PRSC module.
(Emulation package 6.0.407.3)

I found some posts on the forum about this error but none of the solutions worked for me. On windows it works perfectly.
