SD XDS560 Pro Trace, firmware update issue

Dear Champs,
We have a XDS560v2 PRO TRACE (www.ti.com/.../TMDSEMUPROTRACE ). We were having some issues with it, and it shows up in the Device Manager as "Spectrum Digital XDS560v2 USB" so we loaded the firmware from C:\ti\ccsv6\ccs_base\common\uscif\sd560v2_updates\sd_xds560v2_firmware_2.2.0.5 onto it since it was a later version number (the old version was "TI 1.*"). However, it seems that this firmware may have been meant only for the XDS560v2 STM, and not the XDS560v2 PRO. After doing so, we can no longer connect to our K2K target.

My questions are:
1) Is updating the firmware using this method valid for the Pro Trace?
2) How do I restore the pro trace back to its original firmware?
3) Do I need to contact Spectrum Digital for this?

Brad,

You did something I and a few other folks did a few months ago: transformed our Pro Traces into regular 560v2 STMs. The XDSPROTRACE firmware is different despite the method to update it is the same (via the sd560v2Config).

Therefore you need the Pro Trace firmware located at:
support.spectrumdigital.com/.../xds560v2pro_firmware.zip

After that, just be sure you get the same get info as below:
