unresolved symbol _ECM_dispatchTab, first referenced in C:/Program

got this error in CCS4.1.  that is the entire message.  I could use just a bit more information.  any ideas?

  • Kurt,

If you look in the console view does it have the complete message?

    John

  • I think this happens when you disable the ECM inside BIOS. Try enabling the ECM module and see if the error goes away.

  • sorry, still new to CCS4.1.  the message was NOT fromt he console view.  the message from the console view is:

    _ECM_dispatchTab C:/Program Files/Texas Instruments/bios_5_41_04_18/packages/ti/bios/lib/bios.a674<ecm_dispatch.o674>

"ECM module"?  enable?  I do not know what that means.

ECM stands for Event Combine Manager. This is a feature of BIOS which allows you to multiplex multiple interrupt sources through a single hardware interrupt. Open your BIOS configuration file, expand Scheduling, then expand the HWI Manager. At the bottom under HWI_INT15 you should see the ECM Manager. If you right click this you can enable this module again.
