Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430G2553
Hi,
My microprocessors class requires CCS and we use the MSP430G2553. I am unable to get past the debugger initial startup. The warning message suggests that it will take a while but I have tried it many times and on one occasion waiting over an hour to be sure. It requires me to force quit which is quite frustrating. I have carefully reinstalled CCS version 6.2.46 three times. the older 6.1.2.14 I have also tried it in conjunction with MSP430 ware. I am running out of patience. I can utilize VMware to connect to a school machine but I tether my computer to my phone for internet at home so that's not viable long term $$. Frankly, I shouldn't have to. My macbook runs el capitan 10.11.6, which as I have read can contribute to the issue I describe. I have checked out this forum and spent many hours looking for answers elsewhere on the web. My question is this; if anyone has run into this issue using el capitan and has a viable solution or if i'm missing something obvious please help. thank you very much for your time. If I can provide any relevant config info please let me know.
