CCS 6.2 - Anyone having issues with single-stepping?

Hello All,

I have an older project that I imported - using the '28027 - I couldn't single step using F6 - anyone else seeing something like that?

If I click with the menu using my trackball - it works.  My keyboard and F-Keys are OK AFAIK.

Thanks,
John W.

Does the editor window have the input focus when you try and step using F6?

With CCS 6.2.0 and previous versions of CCS if another window, such as the scripting console or terminal has the input focus, then the F6 shortcut doesn't work.

  • Hello Chester,

I thought so. I just restarted the PC and am running a new session - and it is working.

I am not sure what caused this - I have had a few USB driver issues with this keyboard; and now running under Win10 maybe it's time to either find a new keyboard and/or driver. Funny thing sortof too this is a M$ keyboard; but at this point I'd have to chalk it up to rebooting/reset since this didn't work before - and I had changed focus to check both single stepping in assembly and c-mod.

I have had other problems with the USB drivers of some other peripherals since upgrading even though M$ said they were OK and worked. One big issue was with one of those cheap USB/serial converters where you actually had to downgrade the driver after the M$10 upgrade; but that cause blue screens for me and I just don't use that adapter anymore.

    Thanks,
    John W.
