This is using CCS 6.2.0.00048.
Clicking on Getting Started->Browse Examples brings up the new Resource Explorer Beta which by defaults goes out to the TI Cloud (dev.ti.com/tirex). I see on the left the following:
Now I've downloaded from the main TI website. MSP432Ware_3_50_00_02 because it is the latest. There doesn't seem to be anyway to install this local package into the Resource Explorer Beta.
I can switch to classic via View->Resource Explorer Classic and I can add it via...
But that only effects what is displayed on the classic TI Resource Explorer.
I've also followed the instructions at //processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Resource_Explorer_Content but that also adds to the classic TI Resouce Explorer.
Letting you know that it would be nice to have a mechanism to add local resource explorer package content to the new Beta Rex.
I like it by the way.
P.P.S Also note that the current MSP432Ware is at 3.50.0.2 while the TI Cloud (Rex) has it as 3.40.0.25. Version skew.

That is correct. Currently the Resource Explorer Beta can only discover installed packages that are also available on dev.ti.com (the list of supported packages can be found under ‘About’ in the Resource Explorer menu). To use the latest MSP432Ware today you would need to use Resource Explorer Classic.

We are aware of this and are working to fix these version discrepancies in the near future.
