Hello,

I try to debug a Ti arm cpu out of the ccs with a segger j-link but I have a Debugger Initialization Error.

I'm using ccsv6.2 the J-Link support 5.41.3 with following ERROR message:

Unable to load /home/..../ccsv6/ccs_base/DebugServer/drivers/jlink2gtiadapter.drv:

/home/..../ccsv6/ccs_base/DebugServer/drivers/jlink2gtiadapter.drv: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32.

How can I fix the error?

Hello Tobias,
Just to confirm, you are running CCS on Linux, correct?

I suspect that the issue is due to 6.2.0 on Linux being a 64-bit application while the J-Link drivers for Linux are still just 32-bit.

Yes I'm using a 64 bit Linux Mint 17.3

Hi ki,

This is not entirely correct. We provide 32- as well as 64-bit Linux packages for J-Link for a long time now.
We have just not been informed by TI that V6.2.0 of CCS is now a 64-bit executable where previous versions were 32-bit executables and therefore needed a 32-bit jlink2gtiadapter.dvr
More precisely, we have been informed about this change *today*
We are in the process of reworking things regarding TI CCS anyway and plan to finish that this week. So we will include the fix for this, too.

Hi (again via the wrong account so sorry for the name mix-up. I will correct this),

We have updated the plugin in the web.
It works for 64-bit Linux now.

What needs to be done:
Uninstall the half-way installed plugin in CSS.
Re-install it (it will use the current repo from the SEGGER webserver)
Done.

Note: Under the default search path only the 64-bit version of the CCS Linux plugin is distributed as CCS is only available as a 64-bit version from now on.
