How to get split editor for different files in CCS?

Dear Fellow CCS users,

Can someone tell me how to  get split editor side by side in CCS to show two different files? There is a menu item to toggle split editor vertically or horizontally but they are for showing the same file. How do I get split editor to show 2 different files so that I can do comparison and cut-and-paste?
