code composer free license

hi,

I am doing development on DSP boards with TI C6678 DSP chips. Now, I am wondering about whether I can use the free license for CCSv6.2 with Blackhawk xds560v2 System Trace module that I bought separately from the DSP board for production code.

According to TI wiki, "For all other devices the license is restricted to only work with the onboard emulation on the board, XDS100 debug probes, XDS110 debug probes as well as the XDS560v2 mezzanine card available in C6000 multi-core EVM bundles. You may use this version to create production code." -processors.wiki.ti.com/.../FAQ_-_CCSv4

My question is whether the Blackhawk XDS560v2 is the same as "XDS560v2 mezzanine card" and whether I can use this jtag module with the free licensed CCSv6.x for production.

Thanks

  • Hi,

Your standalone Blackhawk XDS560v2 is not the same as a mezzanine card and therefore requires a CCS license.

If you need a license, we are currently running some promotions where a complete CCS license can be acquired for the cost of a Launchpad board. Please visit the TI estore and search for the term "promotion".

    Hope this helps,
