Tabs cause errors in CCS v6

Hi team,

I have a customer who is experiencing an issue with CCS. When he builds with an example file, all works well. However, when he tries to tab within the editor to make any changes, the build fails. The same behavior does not happen on my machine, although it appears that oue Windows > PrefErences > c/c++>code style > formatter appeae to be the same. When we open the core in notepad++, we can see an arrow character being added

Any thoughts?

That is indeed strange. In these cases I usually suspect the file is being encoded in a non-compatible way: what is the encoding used by the text editor? For that setting check:

Also, can you enable the option below to see which special characters are being added while typing a simple tab?

Hi Rafael!

Thanks for the quick response. His settings look identical to yours and mine. We checked to see which characters were showing up, and I think we figured it out. It appears that the way this example code was written, there are unnecessary characters in some places . I will check and see if thar is the culprit, and let you know . thanks for the help, as always!

Thanks for sending this. I see the same screen elements but the build goes just fine.
