CCS ver6.1 license Activation

Hi

I am using CCS v5.4 with vision-sdk ver2.7.

Since I have to update sdk ver to 2.11, I have to upgrate CCS ver to 6.1.

I have heard that I can activate CCS ver 6.1 license with my old version.

Can you tell me how I can activate it?

    Hello Ryan,
    You can use your CCSv5 full license with CCSv6.1.1 and greater. It must be at least version 6.1.1.

    You can activate 6.1.1+ with your v5 license using the steps described below:
    processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Activating_CCSv6

    Note that you can skip all the steps to register since you already have a license file. You just need to do the steps to specify the license file to CCS to activate.

    Thanks for you reply.

    I've just followed the steps specifying the file to CCS to activate.

    I got message "Full License" on  the Right bottom of CCS tool.

    However, when I tried to Connect target device, I failed.

    And Pop up window came up with message

    "License cannot be acquired"

    The license file you are using is only valid under older versions of Code Composer Studio.

    To continue using Code Composer Studio v6, please update your license file.

    To see the avaiable licesning options, go to 'help -> code composer studio licensing Information',

    and then browse the 'upgrade' tab.

    I think I need another step to activate CCS v6.1 with my old version of CCS license.

    Note that CCS is now available for no charge. Full unlocked CCS licenses are available at the below link:
