Linking Library file to CCS v4

Hello,

I am new to CCS and now i am working with 5509A.... I've created a project and tested "HELLO WORLD" program, which works fine.... Now i want to prepare code for 5509A... I've downloaded 5509A LIBRARY,INCLUDE and IMAGE file.... How to link these file to my project....

Hi pradeep

The process is simple.

You just copy the required Include files and paste in the CCS workspace/*filename* folder. By doing so the library files will be automatically included in the root.

Thanks for your reply.... I included the Lib and Include file in my project folder, but i am getting the following error, when i include #include<csl.h>.....

>> Compilation failure
C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\ccsv4\utils\gmake\gmake: *** [C55xxCSL/examples/c5502/csl/dat/dat1/main_dat1.obj] Error 1
C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\ccsv4\utils\gmake\gmake: Target `all' not remade because of errors.

Is there any documents for configuring the CCS4 to run 5509A?....

Hi Pradeep,

It appears as though there is a error in the program u have compiled. If possible send me a screen shot of the error so that I can get an idea about it.

HI Pradeep,

Its quite simple. Go to projects- Properties- C/C++ Build- Include options- Tool Settings. Over there provide the proper path for that particular header file.

The error points near Csl_Chip_Grpa , Csl_Chip_Grpb and Csl_Chip_Grpc... Kindly guide me to rectify the errors.....

Pradeep,

Usually the best way to learn about a product like CSL is to study the examples provided with the application, therefore I strongly suggest you to import one of the example projects to CCSv4 and verify all the project options required to build it.

In your particular case the error comes from the fact that CSL requires defining a symbol to specify the device being used - CHIP_5509. To properly define this symbol in CCSv4, right-click on project --> Build Properties and check the screen at the end of this post.
