BIOS update

Hi every one,

I am trying to update my DSP/BIOS v5.33.06 to version 5.41.00.06 on my CCSv3.3..82.13

The update website says that the package I have download is compatible with both CCS v3.3 and v4. Yet, I can't get it to work:

Here's is what I have done:

-Installed DSP/BIOS v5.41.00.06 in my CCS folder (C:\CCStudio_v3.3)

-Modified "BIOS_INSTALL_DIR" to "C:\CCStudio_v3.3\bios_5_41_00_06"

-Restarted PC

When I open the component manager the DSP/BIOS v5.41 does not appear under my target (TMS320C28XX)

 

Did I miss something during the install ?

    Does it appear for any target? You may want to try re-installing that BIOS version again.

    Keep in mind the installer files for CCSv3.3 and CCSv4 are different. If you downloaded the file <bios_setupwin32_5_41_00_06_ccsv3.exe> you should be ok.

    The steps you followed are correct; I wonder if the installer did not properly register the BIOS component to all families. Is BIOS 5.41 showing for other device families? If so, Can you try to reinstall this version or install a newer release of BIOS?
