ccs 3.1 install problem

hi

i have installed ccs3.1 on windows 7.

but when i run it...it gives following error

    This is the original release of 3.1. There has been many service release updates to 3.1 since then. Can you update to the latest service release (I believe 3.1.30 is the latest)? You can get to it from CCS Update Advisor. After updating, can you see if the issue still exists?

    Also, do you see an crash dump files?

    One more question: Are you using a DSK version of CCS? Basically are you using a limited CCS version that came with a C6713 DSK? If so, then you may not be able to update that version.

    it is 32 bit windows

     

    i also have DSK, but currently i am running simulator for tms320c6713

    it is

    c6713 device cycle accurate simulator ,little endian

     

    yes this is original version.. i no update option is availble

     

    no *.dmp files are present in <CCStudio Install Directory>\cc\bin\Logs

    Also i have searched in c:\

    but couldnt find any *.dmp file for ccs

    Amir,

    CCS 3.1 is very old and no longer supported. Because you have a limited version, you cannot take any of the 3.1 patches which may have a fix that would have addressed your issue.

    Would you be willing to try moving to CCSv4? It does come with the 6713 Device Cycle Accurate Simulator (both endianness) and if you will be using the simulator, you can use one of the licensing options which lets you use the simulator without any cost. You will have a learning curve since CCSv4 is very different from CCSv3 but because we really can't support you with your limited CCS 3.1 install, I think this is your best option.

    hey dude....ccs3.1 won't run on windows7 make sure ur system has  windows2000/XP.

    ccs3.1 works on windows 2000/XP..it won't run on windows7. or install ccs4 on windows 7.
