MSP430F67791A and CCS issue

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F67791A

Dear Team

One of my customer is working on MSP430F67791A. They are facing the issue with the register content on CCS.  Please see attached the picure of this issue. They are entering the keypad value and store in EEPROM and then they read from EEPROM and load to one of the register of MSP430. They observed that the reqister content is changing randomly even if they dont change the keypad value and the content in EEPROM is correct.

Could you please comment on this issue?

  • Hello Yunus,
It is possible that CCS is reading the data incorrectly, but it is hard for me to comment for sure. Is the content ever displayed correctly by CCS? What happens when you view the memory directly via the Memory view?

    Thanks

  • Hello Ki

    Please see below the feedback:

Yes, the content data looks correct at the beginning. But, this content data changes over time. This event is especially at float values.

What happens when you view the memory directly via the Memory view?

The content data is getting a diffrent value than it should be.

    Could you please comment?

    Best Regards

  • Hi Yunus,
Is this the same customer as the one reported in your other thread?

I would like a test case for the above issue and if is the same customer using the same application, then I can likely investigate both issues with the same test case.

    Thanks

  • Hi Ki

This is the same customer but differnt issue. My customer told me that they see this issue when they run the entire project which is about 400K Byte and they can not share the compete code unfortunately. What I can do is to work with them to debug the issue. Could you please let me know which point do you want me to try? Or you can connect to their PC via Webex to debug the issue.

    Please let me know

    Best Regards

    Yunus
