I tried to update the firmware of the CC2650 launchpad through the simpleRF flash programmer 2. Initially, before starting, I made sure that my parallels USB setting are set to 'always connect to the windows'. When I powered the CC2650 launchpad for the first time, I was able to see the CC2650 services and characteristics in the BLE scanner app on android. I went ahead, opened the smart flash programmer 2, it prompted for me to update the firmware (like in this instruction video). Then after 50% it said, error updating the firmware. I rebooted the windows and tried connecting the launchpad. Nothing on the device manager and the RF flash programmer window also. But the launchpad is still advertising. Does it mean XDS110 debugger is bricked? I tried the solution provided in the TI forum. But it couldn't find any device. How can I fix this? Any idea how to use another launchpad to transfer the firmware to my board?
Hi Nathan,
Thanks for the tip. But the problem is the board is not getting in the xdsdfu -m or in the smart flash programmer 2. I even tried all the possibility in the native windows machine also.No luck.
The power LED near the XDS110 device is also not glowing.
Is it possible to flash the firmware from another launchpad? By connecting the TMS, TCK, TDI, TDO and SWO ?
Hi Nathan,
The board is powered. As I mentioned in the picture, DI07 green LED is blinking for advertising. I am able to see BLE advertisement in BLE scanner app. The power LED next to TM4C is not working.
