Cloud based GUI Composer does not save changes & help links are broken

Hi,

I have a problem that GUI composer v2 does not save my data (widgets).

Sequence:

  1. go to dev.ti.com and launch the GUI composer v2
  2. create a new project based on "Application Template" with TI branding, let's call it "test"
  3. place a simple button to the project canvas.
  4. save the project using the icon
  5. close the project (log out or close the tab in Chrome)
  6. open the new tab, go to dev.ti.com and open the GUI composer
  7. select your project call "test"
  8. your (my) project is empty including TI branding, only TI logo is visible. 

The second problem is, that some important links in GUI composer User's guide don't work e.g. to "Serial IO tutorial" or " XDS Debug Port / Target Monitor"

Could you please check ?

I am using TI's corporate installation, running chrome version 54.0.2840.99 m with fancy plug-ins disabled on ti.com pages.

    Hi Jiri,

    I did the exact same thing, but I am not able to reproduce the issue. However, I am using chrome 55.0.2883.75 m. Can you open chrome debug console by pressing F12 before you open the project. And can you attach the console log here?

    thank you for your reply and sorry it took me such long time to respond. I still encounter this issue even with a different computer. I will switch to internal comunication.

    Hi Jiri,

    Can you please confirm whether opening a project issue is due to slow network connection? Make sure all the files are loaded from the data center before opening the project.

    I have filed two bugs to track these two issues, GC-760 (broken links) and GC-759 (can't open project).

    Hi Patrick, 

    I can confirm that this issue is related to the internet connection.

    Solutions based on your recommendation (e-mail)

    • Before you open a project, wait until all network traffic is finished (F12-> development console -> Network)
    • Press F5 to reload the page when loading fails
