Watchpoint cannot be disabled

Dear all,

When I try to disable a hardware watchpoint it fails. The watchpoint is even triggered when I delete it from the Breakpoint list. CCS is running fine besides. To get rid of the watchpoint I have to shutdown and restart. I didn't find a listed defect for this issue, but I think this could affect others too.

My system:
Windows XP Pro 2002 SP2
CCS4 Version: 4.1.2.00027

Target:
TMS320F28027 custom board
Blackhawk USB2000 Controller
         HW Revision 2551-1140-00, SPI16
         Firmware Revision DSP/BIOS 1.05 [LITE], Nov 14 2008
         Serial Number MC3211

It is even worse: Debugger has to be power cycled too -> it could be a debugger issue too...

Andreas,

Does deleting the watchpoint (rather than disabling) have a different effect? When we set a hardware breakpoint, we're programming logic on the device to generate that breakpoint. If somehow the debugger gets out of sync with the target, and you can't remove the breakpoint (i.e. reprogram the logic not to generate the breakpoint), then the only way to get rid of it is going to be to power cycle the board. re-setting the breakpoint in the same location and then removing it might also help.

Thanks for the reply, re-setting the bp in the same location and remove it just after solved the problem
