CCS/CCSTUDIO: Code Composer Studio v7 is now available

Guru**** 162885 points
Part Number: CCSTUDIO
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SEGGER

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Code Composer Studio v7 is now available for download.  www.ti.com/ccstudio

While there are many changes included with version 7 the single biggest difference deals with licensing.  With the introduction of CCSv7 you can simply download CCS, install it and start using it.  You are no longer required to purchase a separate license or configure a license server.  It is our objective to continue to lower the cost of getting started with development on TI embedded platforms.  This change will make the process much more simple.

There is a short video at the link below that shows CCSv7.

In CCSv6.2 we introduced a beta version of Resource Explorer with Cloud integration.  This is now available as a production version in CCSv7.  The big advantage of this is that you can see the software products and resources that are available for your platform without having to download and install them first.  Over the coming year there will be more and more content exposed via Resource Explorer.  Many of the training resources such as videos and workshops for CCS have already been integrated.
