CCS/CC2650: Can't get SimpleBLEPeripheral to debug in CCS Cloud

Hello,

I can't get SimpleBLEPeripheral to run to completion during the initial debugging process. The sequence of errors are shown below:

This process "GEL Expression..." goes forever and doesn't resolve. Click cancel, then...

After cancelling, I run the debugger and notice that this is not completing and finishes with the following:

After this I can't debug any projects. I use the SmartRF Flash programmer2 to erase the chip and start again. After erasing, I am able to reload Project0 stack and application.

Please provide assistance in loading and debugging the SimpleBLEPeripheral.

What target are you using? Is it the CC2650DK?

Hi Ki,

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm using the CC2650 LaunchPad. I noticed that the TI CCS IDE doesn't include the SimpleBLEPerihperal as an example project. Is there a specific SimpleBLEPerpheral App and Stack that I should use with the LaunchPad. If so, please provide it.

Patrick,
The latest released version of the BLE Stack supports the simple peripheral example on the CC2650 LP. It is available on the below page:
www.ti.com/.../ble-stack

HI Ki,

I'm using the current BLE Stack V2.2.1. Still having trouble compiling and debugging SimpleBLEPeripheral.

In the meantime, I've been playing around with the Project0 application. This seems like the best place to start, like the SimpleBLEPeripheral was in previous generations. Would you agree? It seems to have all the functionality and the added benefit of adding SPi based memory for logging among other things - nice.

I would suggest querying the folks in the Bluetooth Low Energy forum regarding the recommended projects to work with. They will be most knowledgeable on this and can help you best.
