CCS: CCSv7 Licensing Question/Verification

Hi all,

I'm a little new to the business side of Electrical Engineering, and I'm looking for clarification on the note about Code Composer 7 that it now has a new Licensing model of TSPA.

I've only been working with Code Composer Studio for ~3 years now and at my company we've kept track of our license files and I've been aware of some of the licensing changes pertaining to CCS in the last year or so. Does this TSPA designation mean that we don't need to worry about license files, how many seats we have, or purchasing more seats if we hire someone else in the future?

Yes, this is true for CCSv7.

For earlier versions of CCS (CCSv6, etc), you do need a license file, but they are now publicly available for no cost.
