Node Locked License question

I'm thinking about different licensing options and node locked license looks the most suitable for me, since I'll be the only person using CCS. I've already read here about solution to use MAC address of USB WLAN Stick for license. However I would prefer to be independent from any external hardware parts like USB sticks.

There is for example Virtual Network Adapter (http://www.ntkernel.com/w&p.php?id=32) which creates dummy network interface with adjustable MAC address. Will it work to license CCS using such virtual network adapter?

  • Segey,

The CCS licensing technology requires a physical network card so we don't think this would work. Note that you can specify two MAC addresses when you register you software, so this may help a bit in your situation. There is more information on licensing here.

  • I could recently check what I've asked and I can confirm that it's possible to use Virtual network adapter for licensing.

Hope it's not getting changed, because I find it much more convenient to use CCS on different computers without need of using external WLAN Stick or whatever:)
