CCS: XDS100V2 can't be used in ccs

Hi TI expert,

I've just applied a XDS100V2 JTAG debug tools at this link: http://www.ti.com/tool/TMDSEMU100V2U-14T

But after connecting with my target board(F28034), CCS can't find the target device.

I found a pin out interface at ti wiki paget, and checked the pin 2, 3, 5, 7, and 11, there is no hardware connection between the header connector shown at the bottom layer and pin out interface at top layer. Could you please show me how to enable this tools to work? Thanks..

Can you explain more the above comment? Are you having a target connection error? If so, what is the exact error message?

Hi Ki,

Here is the message what I have got from CCS. It looks to me that XDS100V2 didn't provide v33 to target device.

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -180 @ 0x0)
The controller has detected a target power loss.
The user must turn-on or connect the power supply for the target.
(Emulation package 6.0.14.5)

Can you please help guide me how to make xds100v2 work?

Check the TVRef pin. Make sure the target is getting power.

Hi KI,

I have checked the TVref pin, there is no 3.3V on this pin(pin 5 in headers). And even I used external 3.3V to power up my target boards, this XDS100 is still can't work correctly.

After I changing to a another XDS100 developed by the third party, it works well.

It seems to me that the xds100 ordered from ti.com is broken, is it true?
