CCS/BEAGLEBOARD-X15: CCS license versus Keil

Hi,

I would like to know if I need to have a paid license version of CCS for using it with with board. And, what is more preferrable between Keil and CCS. Some say that CCS license is very costly as compared to Keil and migration to other controllers is difficult in future. Any suggestion!

You no longer need to pay for a CCS license.

With CCS 7 there is no need for a license.

For CCS 4, 5 or 6 full license files are now available for no cost - see http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Licensing_-_CCS
