Part Number: TM4C129XNCZAD

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

On Code Composer Studio 7, Whenever I debug/run "boot_emac_flash" from the TivaWare examples folder for tm4c129x, the app crashes. The crashlog is attached.

I'm using:

- macOS 10.12.2,
- CCS v7.0.0
- TivaWare 2.1.3.156

Thanks.

  • Hi,

I can reproduce this when I am connecting to my DK-TM4C129 board via the ICDI interface. Are you using the same interface to connect to your device?

It seems to be an instability of the device drivers, as I can load a simpler code such as interrupts and, despite it loads fine, any other operations such as step, breakpoints, etc. cause CCS to collapse.

Please let me know if you are using the same interface.

    Please apologize for the inconvenience,
    Rafael
  • Hi,

I've noticed that the simpler projects like the 'blinky' example seems to work just fine. When there's enet involved or other device drivers, it seems to crash CCS.

I've also had trouble where when I clean a project, rebuild the project again, then debug/run the project, CCS crashes.

Yup. I'm using a DK-TM4C129XNCZAD board connecting via the Stellaris ICDI on CCSv7

  • Hi,

I just did a test on an internal Beta release of CCSv7.1 and it worked just fine. It uses an yet unreleased version of the TI Emulators component (the one that contains the ICDI runtime binaries), therefore at this moment unfortunately there are no workarounds to this particular setup.

I will let you know when an updated version of the TI Emulators component is available for CCSv7.0 (it usually happens before the release of 7.1 in March).

    I apologize for the inconvenience,
    Rafael
  • Note that CCSv7.1.0 will be released at the end of this month hence it is best to wait for that release.

    Thanks
