CCS: An internal error occurred during: "C/C++ Indexer". java.lang.NullPointerException

I just opened my ccs7 workspace and my project is no longer accessible and ccs7 just hangs on it.

I can right click and delete it but do not delete from disk.

When I open it again from the file system in ccs7, I get this message:

I have tried right click properties to disable indexer but get this message:

Please help, how do I get my project back?

Have you tried opening a new workspace and importing your project into it?

I think I have lost the ability to try that because I tried to rename my project and its stack project. The renaming did not go well so I just started over.

So I take it that you have been able to move past this issue? In that case we will close this thread, but do feel free to make a new post if you encounter any other issues.

I had a little time so I revisited this issue and have decided that importing into another workspace did the trick to remove that error so I will mark that as the answer, I still have issues with renaming the project.
