CCS: CCS 7.0 Unable to Install Newly Rediscovered Products

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

After I 'Select All' on Install Newly Rediscovered Products, I press 'Install'.

I get following popup:

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
session context was:(profile=epp.package.cpp, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).
No repository found containing: binary,org.eclipse.platform.ide.executable.gtk.linux.x86_64,4.6.0.I20160606-1100

Could you try the workaround suggested in item #5 in this page and let us know if it helps?

There is nothing in this directory:

<installdir>/ccsv7/eclipse/p2/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.core/cache
This directory doesn't exist
<installdir>/ccsv7/eclipse/p2/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.repository/cache

When I got to Help->Install New Software, it's not clear which package I should install.

I just used Windows->Preferences->Code Composer Studio->Products.

Set the path to the 'ti' directory and hit Rediscover. From that I select all the libraries. But that set of libraries

is different from those listed in Install New Software. It's not clear which install site corresponds to that error.

Which updates were you originally trying to install? Try de-selecting any Eclipse related update sites, and only select TI updates to install and see if that helps.
If it does not help, please attach a screenshot of your Help->Check for Updates screen.

It's not under Help->Check for Updates. It's under Preferences -> Code Composer Studio -> Products
Then I click 'Rediscover' and then 'Install...'

It installs some packages, then I get a pop-up box with detailed error and install process stops:

BTW, I am using Ubuntu 14.04 64-bits.

I did not receive any email. What you can do to attach the picture here is when you click Reply to a post, click on "Use rich formatting" in the bottom right. Then you will have the option to click on an icon to "Insert Media" where you can attach a media file.

Also please attach a screenshot of the list of products that are discovered and selected to be installed.

Chris,

I think the error message is trying to say that when Eclipse goes to install one of the selected products, it finds a dependency on an Eclipse feature that is not currently installed. Eclipse cannot find a location from which to download the missing feature.

I do not know which of these discovered products could cause the problem. My suggestion would be only enable and install one at a time until the one causing the issue is found. Once the problematic product is found, we can have a closer look at why it is not compatible.

Did you find a solution to this problem? I'm experiencing the same working with CCS Version: 7.1.0.00016 in Ubuntu 16.04.02, and I also installed it in Ubuntu 14.04 obtaining the same results.
I get the exactly the same error message when trying to install newly rediscovered products and when trying to update CCS.
I would really appreciate any help.

Finally, the problem disappeared after reinstalling without using sudo.
