CCS: Unfamiliar CCSv7 error message

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Dear All,

I downloaded the newest CCSv7.0.0.00043 from TI website.

And installed on my computer, CCS can build the C2000 project normally. This is new computer so that i din't need to delete the whole content in CCS folder.

But the error occurs when i click the "compile button". The CCS show me the error message as below.

Because my computer is WIN10 system, I'm not sure may i missing some component?

Thanks for your comment.

BR,

Bard

Please elaborate what you are trying to say in this sentence above.

Why would want to delete anything in a new installation of CCS7, perhaps you try to upgrade an earlier version of CCS?

  • Hi BP101.

Before i met the problem since the computer already had the earlier version of CCS.
So i will deleted the content of the ccs project.
After i recreated the workspace it can work normal now.
  • Those CCS gurus (Arti G.) say trying to use the old CCS workspace with the new IDE can lead to issues as you discovered.

BTW can import old CCS WS projects into the new CCSv7 WS you created and the import wizard builds new Metadata for the projects history and other things it needs.
  • hello,

i installed ccs7.0.0.00043 , when m trying to create new project this message comes "No compilers are currently installed for this device-family. Click 'View > CCS App Center' to install a compiler before creating a project for this device"

what i want to do please help me

    Thanks,
