CCS: TM4C123 Error connecting to target

Hi ,

I am using CCS v6 , when connecting TM4C123GH6PM and press debug button , an error message appears , it says "Error Connecting to target "

I opened the device manager and found that ICDI drivers are installed

    Hi,

    Unfortunately the legacy Stellaris ICDI connection gives too little useful information on what may be wrong with the connection, therefore leaving too much to be guessed.

    Given the Control Panel shows the drivers as successfully instantiated, that leads me to believe the problem is between the ICDI and the target device.

    Which board are you using? If you are using the TM4C123 Launchpad, can you be sure the top switch is on the option "Debug" instead of "Device"? I recall this used to confuse me at times.

    If you are using a different board, make sure the connections are correct and solid (no possible glitches).

    Hi muhammad,

    If you are using Tiva Launchpad, It is possible that you have programmed it with a program that causes this error. If that is so use LM Flash Programmer to do a Full Flash Erase or use the JTAG Unlock Utility. Alternatively re-post this at TM4C forum to get more expert advice.
