I am new to code composer studio and I am using the version 7. I was trying to access the LED Blinking example of TMS320F2827 (I'm using C2000 Piccolo LaunchPad) and during the debugging and error keeps appearing.

Error initializing emulator:
(Error -2083 @ 0x0)
Unable to communicate with the debug probe. Confirm debug probe configuration and connections, reset the debug probe, and retry the operation.
(Emulation package 6.0.504.1)

What should I do to rectify this error?

Hello,
You are getting a type of host connection error:processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Debugging_JTAG_Connectivity_Problems

Which host OS are you using?

I am using Windows 10.
I do not think its the cable problem or the port problem.

What is the the state of the S1 "boot mode switch" on the Piccolo LaunchPad?

Section 4.3 Boot Mode Selection of the LAUNCHXL-F28027 C2000 Piccolo LaunchPad Experimenter Kit User's Guide says:

Keep in mind that the debugger does not connect if the device is not in the emulation boot mode (TRST switch in the up position).
