ccs v5 wiki page

Hi,

I would like to know when the 9-7-2010 ccs v5 beta1 update 1 release will be available like it

is mentioned on the wiki page http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Linux_Host_Support for

some weeks now.

I did read another posting (by Mike, ccsv4 and eclipse v3.2) and a release date of next year

was suggested for ccs v5.

The release was delayed due to some testing difficulties with the xds100 setup as the wiki

mentions. Could you update the wiki on the progress ?

Thank you,

roelof

ps: the dates mentioned are in the wrong order, there are no 22 months in a year.

CCSv5 Beta 1 (update 1) is still on schedule for September 7th. I think the confusion with the information is coming from the fact the dates are all posted in US format (Month/Day/Year); therefore CCSv5 beta 1 update 1 will be released only in September 7th (and not July 9th). This is not an uncommon mistake (I am Brazilian and make these mistakes all the time too).

The page you mentioned has lots of information about the CCSv5 work progress (Changelog, TimeLine, etc.) to increase the beta testers awareness. Is there anything specific that you would want to know?

  • Hi,

Would it be possible to write the dates in the correct order, ie day-month-year ?

Now in the same table it is 7 september (as you write/read it) not 9 july, and

19 july not 7th of the 19th month.

Last mention on progress was about testing issues with xds100, I am just wondering

if that is resolved. I am also eagerly waiting for the release that will have xds100 support.

I have been checking the webpage multiple times a week since the 9 july date

    has passed :-D

We have a Signum jtagjet2000 here and I have asked them for the drivers, the

response was that they will be available some time in september :-)

"Correct" is a relative concept, as date format varies by country. One thing that could be done is write the months with names instead of numbers. I'll contact the author about it.

Still in progress. Check back the page regularly.

  • Roelof,

The main reason for delaying the update is an XDS100v2 performance issue that occurs on some PCs.

I'd like find out more about your expected usage to see if what is currently available would work for you. If you accept my friend request, we can have a side coversation about that.

    Regards
