CCS: Annoying error log window

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi guys,

I have question for you. I am using CCS 5.5.00077 and I have problem with error log window. Even I close it, it is automatically opened again if CCS thinks that an error occured on GUI (i.e. some java error) But actually everything is fine for me with my CCS and I don't want see this error log because it automatically sends other tabs (ie. console, search windows)  to background or spoils my view. I tried to deselect "activate on new event", it works with error log to come foreground, but didn't succeed to dissappear it fully. Is there a way to hide it? By the way, I can not change CCS version, so please do not advise me to update CCS. Thanks.

Regards,

Hakan

  • Hakan,

Try unchecking the option to "activate on new events".

It has been a while since I have had it open automatically but I don't run 5.5 very often anymore.  I remember it bugging me and finding some way to get it to stop popping up.

    Regards,

    John

  • John,

I thank you for your answer, but I've already tried it.

" I tried to deselect "activate on new event", it works with error log to come foreground, but didn't succeed to dissappear it fully. "

But your answer gives me hope. At least, it is good to know that there is a way to solve this problem.

  • Hakan,

I took another look at this today.  I haven't been able to get the window to open automatically in my 5.5 install.  Not sure what I did to it but it doesn't pop up automatically anymore.  One thing I noticed that might help in your case are the filters.

Maybe if you disable all the event types it will not treat them as events that it needs to show you.

If you go to the little down arrow in the Error Log view you can click on "Filters".  That will bring up this dialog.  Maybe unchecking the items in red below will stop it from popping up.

    Regards,

    John
