CCS: CCSv7.1 and GUI Composer V1 Applications...

Hi,

I am migrating everything I have from CCSv6.2 to CCSv7.1 due to a new laptop...  So far everything has transferred fine, I have a few changes with Flash Allocated Code size but this will be due to moving from 15.2.3.LTS to 16.9.2.LTS (I have installed 15.2.3.LTS as a test and get the same Flash Code size as CCSv6.2, so the newer Compiler is probably slicker).

The one last issue I have is related to GUI Composer, more specifically, GUI Composer V1 applications that have been developed within CCSv6.2.

Now, I'm aware that CCSv7.2 does not support the Graphical Editing of v1 apps, but the wiki page says the following:

"CCS 7.x only supports ability to run GCv1 created apps. The GC Designer is no longer supported in CCS7.x. To be able to run GCv1 applications in CCS7.x, GCv1 runtime needs to be installed from CCS App Center."

Ok, so I have installed the GCv1 Runtime from the App Center (I think!), the question is....  where do I place the GUI v1 application files, i.e. the app.js, etc?  In the standard runtime you would place the app into c:\ti\guicomposer\webapps for example, whilst to design within CCSv6.2 you would place into [TI_WORKSPACE]/.GUIComposerWS.

I'm not too sure where to place the v1 app files within the CCSv7.2 environment - can anyone help?

    Ok, I have sussed it out (thanks to MartinS on another Post).

    There is a fundamental difference in the location of the GUI v1 runtime location when installing via CCS7 App Center.

    In CCSv6 it was installed into c:\ti\guicomposer and all apps had to be extracted into c:\ti\guicomposer\webapps and ran from there.
    In CCSv7, the App Center creates a webapps folder within the c:\ti\ccsv7 folders, the app needs to be extracted into here.

    At this point the GUI App will be visible in the "View-GUI Composer-Applications v1" sub menu. Clicking on the GUI App will load the v1 runtime within CCS and the application starts to run. I haven't yet tested this running against operation code, but at least the GUI App loads from within CCSv7.
